The beauty of life’s adventure captured in a photo

I want to show you how I see nature through my eyes, and how I use the art of noticing in my photography.

I'm Elsie

I was born and raised in the PNW in the North Idaho area. I'm a small town kid. I enjoy the simple things in life such as a good honey latte, listening to my favorite playlist, hanging out with my loved ones, petting a good dog, and catching a big fish.

Relationship with nature

My family made it a priority to be in the outdoors and experience life in the beauty of nature. And because of that, I fell in love with being in the outdoors at a very young age. I grew up hiking, camping, fishing, biking, skiing, and all sorts of outdoor recreation.

Photography

If nature is my first love, photography became my second one. It started as a dream when I was a little kid, and now it's a reality. My main goal for my photography is to experience the moment and to capture the beauty. Photography is an art and I am so privileged to share it with so many people.

Some of My Inspiration

It's hard to pinpoint an exact inspiration of mine that started my love for photography, but there are a few that I can remember throughout the years holding a place in my heart that connected me to taking photos.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Ironically I named my camera Walter in honor of this movie. I can't remember the first time I watched it, I was probably too young to get the depth of it due to having much older siblings who also loved this movie, but I do remember rewatching it in my parents living room when I was about 13 and getting chills from the things said and the cinematic scenery in the movie. It takes you along a journey following Walter Mitty through his imagination and his chase to find himself while learning the art of noticing beauty outside of the cooperate world, I wont spoil it...if you haven't seen it you just got to go watch it.
